​Northern Minnesota is a fascinating place. The Iron Range and timber industry have helped build this area. It is home to the Boundary Waters, Voyageur National Park, and the headwaters of the Mississippi River. There are more wolves and eagles here than anywhere in the lower 48 states.

The Bigfork area is known as the Edge of the Wilderness. The rivers all flow north here....one of the few areas in the lower 48 states that lies north of the Laurentian Divide. Although it is remote, a modern hospital and school right in Bigfork serve the north Itasca region as a hub of activity. We are grateful to be part of this wonderful north wood's community.
